National Food Branding Strategy for Vietnam: The Result of a Collaborative Process

VIETRADE - The Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), Ministry of Industry and Trade has cooperated with the Netherlands’ Centre for Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) and the EU-Vietnam Multilateral Trade Assistance Project (EU-VN MUTRAP) to implement the Vietnam Food Branding Program since 2015. It is under the Vietnam Value program, aiming at building brands for Vietnamese exported products to improve the added value of Vietnamese agricultural and food products. Up to now, the program has basically completed its research and proposed the concepts of “brand positioning”, “brand architecture” and “visual brand identity” for the food industry.

“Vietnamese Goods Week 2017” Opened in Japan

VIETRADE - In the morning of June 7th, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the Inauguration Ceremony of the “Vietnamese Goods Week 2017” co-organized by Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA), Hanoi People’s Committee and AEON Group at AEON Lake Town Trade Center in Saitama, Japan. Minister of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh and leaders of other ministries and various industries also attended the ceremony.

VIETRADE - According to the statistics of the General Department of Customs, the trade revenue from Vietnam to Singapore in the first two months of 2017 reached US$427.56 million, rising by 31.86% compared to last year.

Vietnam – Hungary: Trade revenue to increase rapidly

VIETRADE - Based on the Vietnam-Hungary traditional friendship, the trade relations between the two countries have grow rapidly, with a significant increase in two-way imports and exports in the past years. However, outcomes of the bilateral trade exchange is still lower than the strengths and expectations of both nations. Vietnam and Hungary are making efforts to boost their bilateral trade cooperation.
