“VN Design Sharing” Pavilion – The outstanding point of VN Expo 2012 Print E-mail

2012_Apr_4_-_Pic_1VIETRADE – “Vietnam Design Sharing” Pavilion at Vietnam Expo 2012 is the activity under the “Vietnam – Korea Design Sharing Program” (DSP) hosted by Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), in cooperation with Korean Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP). The trade fair is organized from 2012 April 4th to 7th.

With the model of “installation art” display, the “Vietnam Design Sharing” Pavilion displays and promotes typical designed products of Vietnamese companies (members of the program), targeting to improve the awareness of companies and the society on the importance of industrial design in product and business development which increases the competitiveness of Vietnam’s export products. Simultaneously, the pavilion also contributes to encourage Vietnamese consumers to implement the campaign “Vietnamese people use Vietnamese products”.


Thanks to the creative design, the pavilion has attracted a huge number of visitors, trade partners and media agencies on the first day of the trade fair. Vietnamese companies in various typical industries such as agriculture, leather and shoes, arts and handicrafts, electronics, design, etc. have joined the pavilion together, including MTV Hanel Co., Ltd, Hoa Lan JSC., Hop Tri Co., Ltd and Phong Chau Co., Ltd. The pavilion is placed in A3 Zone of Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Center (Vefac), 148 Giang Vo Road, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, Vietnam.


2012_Apr_4_-_Pic_2“Vietnam Design Sharing” Pavilion at Vietnam Expo 2012 is the activity under the “Vietnam – Korea Design Sharing Program” (DSP) implemented by Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) since 2011 in an effort to support Vietnamese companies to improve industrial design capability. In 2010, VIETRADE has signed the cooperation agreement on development of industrial design with Korean Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) in Hanoi. Members of the program include 22 Vietnamese organizations and agencies and 74 companies from various industries. In the last two years, many activities under the program have been organized such as: seminars and events on industrial design, training courses on specific topics of design, onsite-consultancy for Vietnamese companies and PR and promotion activities, etc.


The 22nd Vietnam International Trade Fair - Vietnam Expo 2012 is one of the biggest trade promotion events in Vietnam. The fair is organized annually, hosted by Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade. With the topic “Vietnam – Cooperation and Development”, Vietnam Expo 2012 takes place from 4 to 7 April, 2012. Vietnam Expo 2012 is estimated to cover 800 booths of companies from more than 20 countries and regions including Belarus, America, Russia, China, Japan, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cuba, Cambodia, etc.


As usual, the products and items displayed in Vietnam Expo 2012 include: agricultural products and processed food; interior and exterior decoration and craft; fashion industry; electronics, IT and electricity; machinery and equipment; construction, building materials and services. It is believed that the fair will attract more than 20,000 visitors from 45 countries and regions as well as local businessmen for their investment and trade exchange. 


According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Bien, the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Expo 2012 is the activity under the National Trade Promotion Program 2012, effectively contributing to promote exports of Vietnam as well as other countries and to develop the local market and bridging Vietnamese companies with international trade partners to meet, share experience, transfer technology and make cooperation.
