HungYen_IP1VIETRADE - Hung Yen Province locates at the center of the Red Rived Delta, in the Northern Key Economic Region. It has a geographic – economic position that is very favorable to the socio-economic development and exchanges with other provinces of the nation and regional counties. Hung Yen constitutes an eastern gate to Hanoi, thecapital. It’s adjacent to the provinces and municipalities of Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Hanoi, sitting on hubs of roadways, railways, waterways of Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh, 70km distant from Hai Phong International Seaport, 60km away from Noi Bai International Airport.

 

Hung Yen lies in the capital Hanoi’s development compass, being crossed over by Hanoi’s beltways 3, 4, 5, and sits right in the middle of 2 economic corridors Vietnam – China, namely Kun Ming – Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong and Nam Ninh – Lang Son – Hanoi – Hai Phong. Hung Yen territorial expanse covers 923km2 plus, its population is 1.2 million. The working age group counts 550,000 people, mostly strong, young agers; trained labor shared over 30% of the work force. Such Hung Yen significant advantages enable the attraction of FDI from the world’s developed industrial powers as well as of domestic investments. In order to exploit its advantages as well as to attract sustainable investments according to business planning, meeting environment protection requirements,Hung Yen has initiated plans for building 19 concentrated IPs by 2020 with 6,650ha land space tabulated as follows:

To this date, Hung Yen has been authorized by the Government to establish, by the year 2010, 10 concentrated IPs occupying 2,330ha land space namely: - 5 established IPs comprising Pho Noi A IP, Pho Noi B IP, Minh Quang Ip, Minh Duc IP and Vinh Khuc IP. - 5 IPs approved by Hung Yen People’s Committee authorizing infrastructures building investors to make study-surveys, drafting detailed plans in preparation for undergoing construction: Ngoc Long IP, Yen My II IP, Kim Dong IP, Bay Say IP, and Dan Tien IP.

 

* PHO NOI A IP:

Geographical Location: Squatting on the territorial space of rural districts, Van Lam, My Hao and Yen My, it incorporates it in Pho Noi urban center plan. 75km distant from Hai Phong Seaport, 120km away from Cai Lan Seaport, Quang Ninh, 60km away from Noi Bai International Airport, 1.5km away from Lac Dao Rail Station.

Land space: 390ha, of which 210ha out of 240ha lease hand, has been leased out for industrial purpose.

Priority development industries: Fabrication-assembly of electric, electronic, machinery products, communication machinery, agricultural products and food processing, steel and steel products manufacture.

Investment attraction: There are 101 investment projects, 56 are domestic projects with registered capital exceeding 4,500bn VND, 45 are FDI projects capitalized at 348mn USD.

Chief investor: Pho Noi A IP Operation Management Company

 

* PHO NOI TEXTILE-GARMENTS IP (PHO NOI B):

Geographical Location: Appurtenant to Pho Noi B IP, squatting on 2 rural districts My Hao and Yen My. It incorporates into Pho Noi urban center planning. Adjacent to national road 5 (linking Hanoi to Hai Phong), about 70km distant from Hai Phong Seaport, 115km away from Cai Lan Seaport, Quang Ninh, 75km from Noi Bai International Airport, 10km from Lac Dao Rail Station.

Land space: 130.7ha; phase I development of 25.1ha has completed technical infrastructures construction and leased out the land; phase II development of 95.6ha is undergoing the process of land clearance compensation

Priority development industries: Textile-garments andother industries.

Investment attraction: There are 10 investment projects, 5 domestic ones with VND 389bn registered capital, 5 FDI with USD 29m registered capital

Chief investor: Pho Noi Textile-Garment Infrastructures Development Joint Stock Company HungYen_IP2

* THANG LONG II IP (PHO NOI B):

Geographical location: Appurtenant to Pho Noi B IP squatting on My Hao, Yen My rural districts, incorporated into Pho Noi urban center planning, adjacent to Pho Noi Textile-Garments to the south, 70km away from Hai Phong Seaport, 115km from Cai Lan Seaport of Quang Ninh, 75km distant from Noi Bai International Airport, 10km away from Lac Dao RailStation.

Land space: 219.6ha, of which 154ha in for lease to industrial use

Priority development industries: Electronic precision mechanical engineering, electronic engineering.

Development and investment attraction state: Land filling – leveling has been completed, investment in technical structures work is being implemented. In 2008, the IP received 7 foreign investment projects at registered capital of USD 260m. 15.4ha land has been leased out.

Chief investor: Thang Long II Industrial Park, Ltd.

 

* MINH DUC IP:

 Geographical location: My Hao rural district, adjacent to national road No 5 to the south (linking Hanoi to Hai Phong), 65km distant from Hai Phong, 65km distant from Hai Phong Seaport, 110km from Cai Lan Seaport, 80km from Noi Bai International Airport.

Land space: 198ha, of which lease land for industrial use is 138ha.

Priority development industries: Manufacture-assemble electrical electronic product, machinery, communication engineering products, agricultural – food processing, steel and steel products manufacturing.

Infrastructures building investment, developmental stage: Procedural dossier for land passation, clearance compensation and infrastructures building is being completed. Completion of land clearance compensation, infrastructure building and reception of investment projects is anticipated in the first quarter of 2010.
