Develop Vietnam – Poland Bilateral Trade Cooperation PDF Print

VIETRADE - Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), Ministry of Industry and Trade in accordance with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vietnam organized “Poland – Vietnam Business Forum” on June 13th, 2014 in Hochiminh City on the occasion of the trade mission of 50 Polish Enterprises to Vietnam led by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland from 10th to 14th June, 2014.


The forum was attended by leaders of Hochiminh City People’s Committee, Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Poland, Poland Information and Foreign Investment Agency, Pomeranian Special Economic Zone of Poland and enterprises from potential industries of Poland.

According to Ms. Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, enterprises who come to Vietnam this time, are leading companies in agricultural products, medical, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, finance, environmental technology and specialized equipment, etc. They are seeking for trade and investment opportunities in Vietnam.


At the forum, Ms. Bui Thi Thanh An, the Deputy Director General of VIETRADE mentioned the relationship between the two countries with 64 years of cooperation in many areas, especially in trade and expected that VIETRADE as well as other departments under MOIT will be an useful bridge to help enterprises in the two countries to cooperate in trade and investment in the near future.


The event attracted about 200 Vietnamese companies in many areas such as agricultural products, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), environmental products and technology, real estate, finance, medical device, pharmaceutical, industrial zone, export processing zone and other industries. In the business meeting, companies of the two countries  exchanged information, introduced products and services and discussed initial issues for the long-term cooperation.

Polish companies highly appreciated the cooperative and investment opportunities with Vietnamese partners, especially in agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, medical and environmental protection. In the afternoon, the Polish delegation has visited Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone to understand more about the ability to cooperate and invest in this zone.
