Launching the Vietnam National Pavilion at High Point Market 2014 Print E-mail

VIETRADE - Within the framework of activities of High Point Market 2014, inauguration ceremony of Vietnam National Pavilion was held by Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE)  on 18th October 2014 at International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC), High Point city, North Carolina, USA.

Attending the opening ceremony and ribbon cutting are representatives of VIETRADE (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Vietnam Trade Representatives Agency in USA,  Organizer of IHFC Exhibition, Ho Chi Minh Handicraft and Wood Industry Association (HAWA), Binh Duong Furniture Association, 11 furniture enterprises and international byers.


High Point Market Exhibition in the US is a large-scale and the most prestigious exhibition in the exterior and interior furniture industry with the total area of over 900,000 sq., in which Vietnam National Pavilion covering nearly 320 sq., beautifully situated in the Exhibition Hall with modern design being suitable for the US market.

Besides, the image of the Vietnam National Pavilion was promoted through various ways during the Show, such as advertising in Official Directory (Market Resource Guide and Furniture Preview), emails to potential customers, catalogue and flyers introducing Vietnamese business, in famous newspapers - Furniture today, Furniture World, Home Furnishing News and in main elevators of the Center.


Through National Trade Promotion Program, which is financially supported by Ministry of Industry and Trade, participating annually in High Point Market has made significant contribution to export growth and maintain the high quality brand of Vietnam furniture products at the US market. In 2013, Vietnam’s total export revenue of furniture to this market reached more than US$2 billion, up 12.2% compared to the same period of 2012 and up by 17.2 times compared to US$116 million in 2003.

Vietnam now is the second largest exporter to the US, ranking behind China. Also, Vietnam is the 6th largest wood furniture export in the word, the 2nd in Asia and the 1st in the Southeast Asia.


This show will last until the end of October 23rd 2014.
