VACANCIES: National and International Consultants for Export Development of specific Vietnamese products/services.
Within the framework of a Swiss SECO-funded Program “Decentralized Trade Support Services for Strengthening the International Competitiveness of Vietnamese SME’s”, VIETRADE is seeking to recruit 8 National Consultants for Export Promotion and Development of the following 8 products and services: Lycheees, Green tea, Pepper, Tuna, Pangasius, Fresh Fruits, Logistics services. It also seeks 7 International Consultants for the following 7 products and services: Lycheees, Green tea, Pepper, Tuna, Fresh Fruits, Logistics services.
These are part-time, locally contracted positions.
Period of Assignment: between May and December 2015
Duty station: Hanoi with frequent travel to selected provinces
The successful applicants will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Higher Degree in Agricultural Economics, International Trade, Business Administration or equivalent
- National consultants: at least 5 years experience in market research, marketing and international trade in the concerned sector
- International consultants: at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Good communication and teaching/coaching skills
- Very fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)
- Good report writing abilities
The job descriptions for these positions include some of the following duties:
- Auditing of SMEs on their export readiness
- Training/Coaching SMEs on the development of Export and Logistic Support Plans
- Product Development
- Advisory services on planning and participation in trade fairs (domestic or international)
- Advisory services on planning and participation in Export Market Prospection Missions
- Advisory services on Sales Promotion and writing supporting material for product exports
In most cases, the National Consultants will guide and assist the International Consultants (recruited for a shorter period and to provide technical market-oriented leadership), and will follow up on their joint recommendations
