Vietnam will participate in CAEXPO 2016, largest-scale fair in ASEAN Print E-mail

VIETRADE - In the 13th China – ASEAN fair (CAEXPO) held in Nanning, China from 11th to 14th September, 2016, pavilions of Vietnam’s enterprises will have the largest scale ever, just after host country, China, in comparison with the size of not only Vietnam’s business delegations in previous fairs but also business delegations of other ASEAN countries in this fair.


Mr. Ta Hoang Linh, Deputy Head of the Trade Promotion Agency, Deputy Chief Organizer of Vietnam business delegation participated in CAEXPO 2016 said 137 selected enterprises across the country registered to participate in this year fair under the national trade promotion program.  Vietnam’s commercial pavilions at the fair this year will display goods in exhibition house No.6 and No.7 with an area of 5,000m2, increasing approximately 30% more than 2015. The ASEAN countries having national pavilions at CAEXPO 2016 include Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand.


In total, there will be up to 5,000 standard commercial pavilions with the participation of 2,500 enterprises of ASEAN countries and China, promoting products and services. The expected area of 90,000 m2 will be divided into 6 main areas, including: Products, Typical Cities, Investment Partnership, Agricultural Partnership, Innovative Technology Partnership, Commercial Service Partnership.

In the previous fairs, with the participation of about 600 members of nearly 30 cities/provinces; 100 enterprises, agencies in different sectors, which have great exporting potential, Vietnam’s business delegations leaded by representatives of Vietnam’s Government always had the largest scale among participated ASEAN countries.


Vietnam’s enterprises will bring to this year fair many products, which have high competitiveness to develop China and ASEAN countries market. These products will be in some sectors, such as: aquaculture and food processing; electricity, electronic and electrical devices; furniture and handicrafts, consumer goods, pharmacy and medical equipment, construction materials, investment, tourism and commercial services, …


Currently, Ministry of Industry and Trade (Trade Promotion Agency) has urgently coordinated with relevant agencies to complete detailed design, setting up and decoration of Vietnam’s national pavilions, ensuring that our products are promoted to enterprises of other ASEAN countries and China in the most effective way. Mr Hong Minh Nhut, international sales representative of Tan Vuong Food Co., Ltd, a company exporting rice to China and ASEAN countries, said: "The organizers have already provided considerable support for enterprises to register and prepare for the fair. With this support, we expect that enterprises will find new customers and expand opportunities for cooperation in the future ".
